A newborn’s birth chart
A baby’s birth chart (also called a natal chart or chart of birth) is the exact photograph of the sky at the moment and place they were born: the position of the Sun, the Moon, the Ascendant and the planets in the twelve signs and twelve houses. It is the same calculation as for an adult, but the interpretation is written for parents, around what matters at this age: sleep, emotions, the need for security, awakening.
The natal chart wheel to frame

Can you do a baby's birth chart?
Yes, from birth: the chart only depends on the date, time and place. It is even the ideal moment, because the time of birth is known to the minute (hospital bracelet, health record, birth certificate).
What is a child's birth chart for?
To better understand their temperament: what reassures them (the Moon), how they assert themselves (the Sun, Mars), how they learn and communicate (Mercury), what makes them shine. It is not a prediction, it is a portrait of their dispositions, useful every day to support them.
Is the baby chart different from an adult chart?
Yes. It is written for parents, in plain language, centred on childhood: sleep, emotions, need for security, play, learning, relationships with siblings. Career or couple themes are left aside.
Is it a good birth gift?

Is the exact time needed?
Yes, it is required when you order: the Ascendant changes sign roughly every two hours, and the houses depend on it. For a newborn, it is almost always available: it appears on the birth certificate and the health record.
Can you do a baby’s birth chart before birth, during pregnancy?
No: the chart is calculated on the exact moment of birth, which is not known in advance, even for a scheduled caesarean (the time used is that of the actual birth). During pregnancy, what is possible is a question to the astrologer about your own chart: the period you are going through, your way of becoming a parent. And from the day of birth, the baby’s chart can be written the same day.
What about an older child, 3, 7 or 12 years old?
The birth chart does not change with age: a 7-year-old has exactly the same chart as at birth. The text is written for the parents of a child, from infant to pre-teen: state their age in the free field of the order and I adjust the guidance accordingly (sleep and separation for a baby; school, friendships and emotions for an older child).
Do twins have the same birth chart?
Almost, but not quite: a few minutes apart can shift the Ascendant or move a planet into another house, and that is often where the differences parents notice can be read. For twins, order one chart per child with each exact time; the second is read with the first in mind.
Can I simply ask a question about my baby instead of ordering the full chart?
