Sun square Mercury: meaning in the birth chart
No birth chart contains a Sun square Mercury: a 90-degree angle is out of reach for the planet closest to the Sun.
The Sun-Mercury square doesn’t exist in natal astrology, and that is no oversight on the part of astrologers: Mercury orbits so close to the Sun that, from Earth, it never moves more than 28 degrees away. Since a square demands a 90-degree separation, the configuration is simply impossible. This quirk explains why the relationship between your thinking and your identity never knows the tension of a dynamic aspect: your intellect and your sense of self always travel side by side. To understand how these two bodies work together in your chart, head to the page on the Sun conjunct Mercury, the only major aspect they can form, and explore the sign and house of your Mercury, which say a great deal about how you reason.
Your strengths
