Help · Your chart answers you
How to ask your birth chart a question, step by step
You can ask your birth chart a question from any page of the site: tap the chat button, type, and the answer starts from your exact chart, your current transits and the site’s texts, in a few seconds. Five free questions a week without an account, ten with a free account, unlimited with My Birth Chart+.
How do you ask your birth chart a question?
Vega, “your chart answers you”, is the site’s chat, and it follows you on every page: a round button at the bottom right of the screen, whose label changes with what you are reading. “Ask my chart” on a reading, “Ask about us” on a compatibility, “And in my chart?” on an interpretation page, “Ask Vega” everywhere else. As you scroll, a shortcut also appears at the top of the screen; its cross hides it for the rest of your visit.
On a phone, the panel slides up from the bottom of the screen. On a computer, it opens as a column on the right, and the page stays readable beside it. The “Full screen” button in its header gives you all the room you need to think, and “Exit full screen” takes you back to the page, with the same conversation.
- Tap the chat button, or the shortcut at the top of the screen.
- Type your question in the field, or tap one of the suggested questions just above it: it is sent right away. If your browser allows it, the microphone icon (“Dictate”) writes as you speak.
- Tap the round button to the right of the field (“Ask”): the answer appears under your question in a few seconds.
- Keep going: your next questions take the latest exchanges into account, and the conversation follows you from page to page.
The chat knows where you are. On your transits, it talks about your transits; on a page like “Venus in Taurus”, it looks at what that placement does in your own chart. At the end of an express reading, the line “A question about your reading?” opens the panel straight away.
What questions can you ask your chart?
Anything that touches your life: a relationship on your mind, a career choice, the period you are going through, a placement in your chart that intrigues you. The chat also answers general astrology and spirituality questions, with or without a chart.
A precise question gets a precise answer. Give the context in one sentence (a choice, a person, a period) rather than “what is going to happen to me?”. A few examples that work well:
- “Why do I keep falling for the same kind of person?”
- “I’m torn between staying in my job and starting my own business: what does my chart say about the way I decide?”
- “What period is opening for me this month?”
- “What does today’s Moon touch in my chart?”
- “Do my Scorpio Moon and Gemini Sun explain why I always feel pulled in two directions?”
More questions that visitors ask are gathered on the Ask your question page.
Where does your chart’s answer come from?
The site first calculates your chart, to the exact place and minute: placements, houses, aspects, then your transits and the current sky (lunations, retrogrades, eclipses). The answer is composed from that calculation and from the site’s interpretation texts. A placement, a degree or a date never comes from a guess: the calculation provides it, as calculation accuracy explains.
For a “when” question, the answer relies on the transit periods and the solar return calculated by the site, never on the date of an event. It describes a climate, a dynamic and what you can do with it, not a fate written in advance.
Without a calculated chart, the chat still answers general questions. For an answer about you, write your date, time and place of birth in the question, or tap the “+” then “Calculate my chart”: the site reads the birth details, offers you the form, and that step costs you no question. You can also calculate your birth chart before opening the chat.
Asking about someone close to you, or about your relationship
The chat knows the charts you have kept: up to four on this device and, if you are signed in, those in your space. Name the person in your question, for example “What does Hugo look for in a relationship?”: the answer reads their whole chart, without ever mixing up their placements and yours. The top of the panel reminds you who it knows (“also Hugo and Lou”), and keeping a chart explains how to add one.
For your relationship, tap the “+” to the left of the field, then “Add a person”: their date and city of birth are enough, and the time refines the reading. After “Add to the conversation”, your two charts answer together, cross aspects included. When the chat already knows both charts, simply ask “Am I compatible with Hugo?”: the answer comes without a form.
To go further as a couple, the compatibility calculator sets out your two charts aspect by aspect, and the page on love compatibility explains how to read it. On a baby birth chart, the chat answers the parent’s questions about their child.
How many free questions a week?
Without an account, you get five free questions a week, counted for the device and for the internet connection: two windows on the same wifi share the same ones. With a free account, you get ten, shared across all your devices. The counter under the field shows how many are left, and they come back every Monday.
At your last free question, a line tells you what comes next; once the week’s questions are used, the panel offers “Continue the conversation”. Questions with My Birth Chart+ are unlimited, within the personal-use limit set out in the terms of sale: see what the subscription includes.
- Without an account: five questions a week, no e-mail needed.
- With a free account: ten questions a week, and your conversations kept.
- With My Birth Chart+, €9.99 a month: unlimited questions and deeper answers.
- With a written reading bought on its own: a week of unlimited questions, included.
A reply from the site itself, such as the form for a birth or a compatibility, never uses up a question.
Finding your conversations, and your chart’s memory
Without an account, the conversation lives in your browser tab for the length of your visit; “New conversation” starts from a blank page. With an account, every question is filed in your space: “My conversations” names and sums them up, can be searched by word or topic, and “Continue” picks a conversation up where you left it. In a new tab, the panel also offers “Pick up your last conversation?”.
Your chart remembers, too: when a new question touches on an earlier one about the same chart, it makes the link, and a line under the answer says so (“Your chart remembers: you talked about it on …”). Everything is managed under “My questions” in your space:
- “Delete” removes one question and its answer.
- “Delete my whole history” clears everything, wherever your questions are kept.
- “Stop keeping my questions” turns the history off for the next ones.
- “Turn memory off” makes your chart forget your past questions.
What the chat doesn’t do, and what is kept
The answers are an astrological perspective, for people aged eighteen and over. A question about health, pregnancy, bereavement, legal proceedings or money to invest gets a reply from the site pointing you to a professional: it is neither counted nor kept. Under each answer, a row of icons lets you copy it, say whether it helped, or report it (“Report this answer”).
As for privacy, your questions are kept for thirty days, anonymised, to improve the service, and, if you are signed in, in your space until you delete them: the privacy policy gives the details. Don’t put your contact details or any health information in your questions.
The chat is waiting on every page. For answers about you, start with your chart: it is calculated in a few seconds, for free.
